Our Story
With market research and proven industry experience, we launched "Desi Chowrastha" with a vision to bring the authentic "Chowrastha" culture to every city in the USA. In India, "Chowrasthas" (the intersection of four streets) were central gathering places that defined culture and brought people together.
The word "Desi" refers to the people, cultures, and products of the Indian subcontinent and their diaspora, tracing its origin specifically to the people from the countries of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
Our logo is inspired by the intersection of four streets. The orange color circle fuels appetite and amplifies senses, showing connection to our food that invokes the taste buds.
Who We Serve
The USA has the largest number of immigrants from all over the world, with the Indian migrant population exploring and expanding in the last 5-6 years. We are creating a one-stop shop for groceries, halal meat, and restaurant concept that caters not only to the largest Indian population in the US but to everyone open to exploring food with complex flavors and spices.
